Students from Capps, Cooper, and Mayfield Middle Schools joined together to perform songs designed for deep voices, creating a room full of resonant sound that could be felt from the audience. Watch this space, as future festivals will grow to include high school students as well!

🏆️ From the first heat to the final ribbon, the Special Olympics Capitol Area Track & Field Event at Putnam City High School was full of athletes giving their all, teammates cheering from the sidelines, and volunteers keeping events moving and spirits high. Family and coworkers filled the Centennial Center to celebrate 27 of Putnam City’s top educators at the 2026 Teacher of the Year Banquet. Mrs. Felicia Reasnor was presented by last year’s winner Alex Rivera with a 4-day cruise, while PC North alum and Simple Modern co-founder Mike Beckham gifted custom water bottles to each site honoree and their classrooms.

Choirs from Putnam City’s central feeder pattern joined forces for a powerful vocal showcase, featuring students from Arbor Grove, Central, Coronado Heights, Northridge, Rollingwood, Tulakes, Capps, Cooper, and Putnam City High School. Over 100 students performed popular songs as cell phone lights and thundering applause filled the room. It was a special night where the line between audience and performers blurred into something magical.

PC High’s Air Force JROTC Robotics Team are state champions! 🤖🏆️
Alexander Palmer-Huggins (junior) and Kynnadee Brummett (sophomore) earned multiple state titles at the VEX Robotics Oklahoma State Championship, including the Design Award recognizing excellence in engineering process, organization, and communication. Their near-perfect scores in both their engineering notebook and team interview set them apart. They advance to represent Putnam City at the World Championship this April.
